Last week was a big week for Jaimie’s little sister Kirsty and her boyfriend Calum as they graduated from Aberty University. We arrived on the Wednesday and the graduation was on the Thursday, so we had a nice little day visiting Discovery the day before the main event! It was a lovely day for the graduation, a little bit windy and there was a small shower, but all in all it was sunny and everyone was in high spirits. The graduation was held in Caird Hall in the centre of town which is a lovely grand building, we managed to get decent seats and sat and clapped every student for about an hour and a half, but whooped and cheered when it was Kirsty’s turn to be ‘capped’.
Afterwards it was time for the graduates to get their pictures taken and for me and Jaimie to head to the champagne reception. We stayed outside the hall for about and hour and then it was time to go for the family lunch (which included Calums family) at a mediterranean restaurant and had some of the best food I have had in a long time! Once lunch was over and done with we popped back to Kirsty and Calum’s for some drinks and cake, but by this time I was shattered and went into sleepy mode, luckily we were getting the train home that night as I needed my own bed!
