So…, that’s us tied together for at least 35 years.
As of June 28th me and J became home owners, I can’t quite believe it! It’s bloody fantastic! Fully fledged adults with a mortgage and bills. I do love living with Jaimie, even though he is a messy boy whom I have to pick up his dirty washing and put things in the bin that he had forgotten to do…(!). We still have a lot to move into the house, my drums are at my maw & paws, DVDs, books, cd’s and clothes and Jaimie still has things to collect from his parents, but the house now looks like a home.Thank goodness that we have a 4 bedroom house, otherwise I don’t know where half of my stuff would go!
I quit my job over a month ago for various reasons and now I start my new job next Monday. The new job is not what I thought I would have been doing (working in a shop) but it pays the bills, there are great benefits and I can work my way up the career ladder (which is something I couldn’t do in my previous job). I feel positive about this HUGE change my life, which can only be a good thing…(?!).
I turned 27, another year older. I hosted a Redneck party with ‘Murican food and music, it was great fun and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. There was A LOT of food and drink left over, I woke up and had a piece of birthday cake for breakfast (YUM).
Today mark’s 6 years together for me and J! We had a Bonoful for dinner last night (our favourite Indian restaurant) as I have the dentist tonight and won’t be able to eat anything. We don’y buy gifts as there is no need to, I would rather us spend money on the house!
I gave in and dyed my hair brown, it’s a tad darker than I wanted. It would have been lighter had the second box contained the dye(!), I had to get Jaimie to drive to Superdrug to change it whilst I waited with a half dyed head of hair. I looked like a skunk!
And there you have it, that is my round up from June to September.
Herrow chaps and chapettes!
Not much has been happening since I last checked in with you, still working away and spending money on clothes and shoes.
I turned the ripe old age of 26, as you get older you realise how much birthdays are not a bit deal. BUT I did however have an awesome birthday night with my best buds! The theme was Man v Food, everybody was invited to make big/lots of food and bring drinks. I went for the giant cheeseburger and with Jaimie’s help it was AMAZING.
It was a very drunken night (even though I was horrifically ill, I had viral infection), it wss filled with party games, face paints and people popped on all the trinkets inside their party bags. I loved it and I love my friends.
I also happened to go on a long weekend away to the beautiful city of Budapest. I went with 4 of my buddies and we spent 4 days and 3 nights exploring, taking in the sights and sounds with a pub crawl thrown in for good measure. Budapest is stunning and the weather was quite good, surprisingly warm in October! There is so much history and it was great to learn about it.
I will definitely be going back and this time taking Jaimie as he is DESPERATE to go.
Other things in Kathryn news is that I have a new phone which I love, hiya Galaxy SIII! Burst my lip and hurt my teeth on a drunken night out. Went to the RBS Museum Lates with Lisa and her work friends, again another drunken night out. Took mum to Chamber Street Museum to see the Catherine The Great exhibition, which is a must (it has since finished). Dinner and a meeting with Jaimie’s family for his dad’s 60. Spent more money on clothes and shoes. Treated mum, dad and Jaimie to lunch. Gotten over a viral infection AND cut my fringe in… again.
On Friday night I had a party to attend, my friends mums 60th! The party was held down at the Quay Side in Musselburgh which is a nice venue. There was a theme and everyone had to have something which was red, I opted for red nails and they were also raising money for the British Heart Foundation.
The party got in full swing when (my fav!) The Cha Cha Slide came on, EVERYONE got up for a dance pulling all the moves out of the bag, the robot, windmill and there was even some Irish dancing. We all had a cracking time and we were all quite drunk by the end of the night…. I took A LOT of pictures, but I’m not going to post all of them(!).
Saturday night was a night of celebration. My friend Claire’s BF Kevin had his 30th birthday party at Element bar on Rose St., now it was not his birthday until Wednesday, but it was thought best to have it last weekend. I love Element bar, it’s really nice inside, but not cheap therefore I had 3 drinks (I was also working on the Sunday morning and didn’t want to go into work with a hangover!).
When me and J arrived it was PACKED, but luckily Claire has reserved a whole section for us, and there was a lot of us! We drank, we chatted, we took pictures and we ate cake which was delish (can’t beat a Nintendo cake!).
Sadly J and myself didn’t stay late and got the bus at half 11, everyone else went out after Element and had an amazing time. At least this weekend I can maybe stay out a bit later…. Got a good one planned!
