One Non Blonde.

Here we are again… I was bored of the brown hair and decided I needed a change, I originally wanted to go silver/grey, however at present I am blonde. I’m slowly getting used to it as at first I didn’t like it and wanted to get rid of it as soon as I could, but then I thought ‘bugger it!’. After all the hair lighteners, toners and silver shampoos I’ve managed to get my hair to a colour that I actually like, my only regret is lightening my eyebrows too much… For someone who has naturally light/mousey brown hair, I have the blackest of eyebrows. I left the lightener on faaaar too long and now every time I take my make up off or come out of the shower I look as though I don’t have any eyebrows, which I highly startling to the cats and J…

This time I’ve managed to go blonde on the cheap, hair lighteners for Poundland, Jerome Russell: Silver Toner and Silver Shampoo & Conditioner from Semi-Chem have all worked a treat! I have to say that I’m most impressed with the hair lighteners and and shampoo and conditioner as these all called £1 each!

Previously when going blonde I have used a hair stripper and then bleached my hair a couple of times before finding the blonde colour I want and then popped that on. All of this left my hair noticeably damaged, it felt horrific too, but now my hair feels soft and there has hardly been any breakage, yipee!

Here is what I used:

£1 each from Poundland

£4.99 each from Semi-Chem

£1 each from Semi-Chem

As you can see, I didn’t break the bank to go blonde! The only thing I will say is that with the Mellor&Russell: Permanent Hair Lightener is that the bottles are small, so depending on the length of your hair you may need to pick up a few boxes, bit for £1 a box you can’t go wrong!

I’ve gone from brown to blonde in the space of a couple of days!

If you fancy a change, go for it!

Beauty Buys Part 4.

I seem to be buying a lot of beauty products the last couple of months which is a nice change from myself as I’m forever buying clothes and shoes! That said, I still haven’t started on my next ‘I Went Shopping Part Whatever’…The photo’s are a little dark as I used my phone to take them and there was minimal lighting in my room, so soz for them looking a tad fuzzy.

Review: Benefit Brows A – Go – Go.

I picked up this little bad boy from the internet for tenner(!) instead of full price and it is now used part of my everyday routine.  I normally just pencilled my eyebrows in and popped a bit of clear mascara on the top, but this fabby little box has everything you need to create a great shape and filler.

You first of all apply the brow wax with the ‘hard’ end if the brush to each eyebrow and then choose your colour to fill in the brows, if needed you use the mini tweezers to pluck the excess hairs.  You then apply the highlighter underneath the arch of the brow and dab a few spots of the bright pink cream to the corner of each eye, et voila beautiful eyebrows!  Again, I don’t have a before or after as I’m rubbish, soz!
