Nailz For Dayz.

If you follow my Instagram (@LadyKaKa86 🖑) and on here you will see that I am a lover of fake nails/nail art and recently I’ve taken to wearing fake nails ALL THE DAMN TIME, some I’ve purchased from eBay which I paint and decorate and others have been purchased from no other than Primark. I have to say I’m really impressed with the Primark nails as they only cost between £1-£2 at that price you would think they would be flimsy and/or would not last long, however I’ve been known to wear a set for up to two weeks (!).

Now I know those you who are not into the fake nail look may class them as tacky and unpractical and you would be right, but I LOVE them and no amount of ‘how can you type with those’, ‘they are so long’, ‘I don’t like them’ will ever stop me wearing them.

I used to be into the acrylic and gels nails, but I found them to be a pain and it was a long arduous process to remove them and now a with a quick dip in nail polish remover my ‘stick on nails’ are off. I always try to have break from wearing them, whether it be for a few days or a week, during that time I make sure I get my natural nails in peak condition by buffing, applying cuticle oil and nail hardener (only for me to ruin them again I hear you cry!). I’ve seen the damage that gel and acrylic nails can do and I actually like my natural nails enough not to put them through that.

So below are some pictures of the aforementioned eBay and Primark nails and If you’re looking to wear them for one night or one week you should definitely invest in a set of fake nails, they are a hell of a lot cheaper than acrylic and gels!

I’m currently sporting the below eBay nails (which showcases a lovely fingerprint smudge).

Review: Cien Products

Since moving into the house, getting a kitten and the change of job has meant that I cannot spend a small fortune on beauty products. I’m normally a bit of a high street girl, but will invest in some expensive products now and again, however I am completely in love with the Cien products which I have been buying from my work. I have bought the nail polish £1, mascara £1, moisturiser £1.99, shampoo 75p and conditioner 75p, hand cream £1.99, body moisturiser £1.99, nail polish remover £1.99, deodorant 99p and they are AMAZING! The make up range is pretty good for everyday wear, they also have lip gloss, lipstick and foundation, the colours are limited however that shouldn’t put you off. There is a selection of moisturisers too and I have gone for 24 moisture as the winter wind does no good for my skin!

The biggest thing for me however, is the shampoo and conditioner. After years of dying, straightening and curling my hair, it is now quite dry and brittle, I have tried LOTS of brands and even spent a small fortune on products to help fix my hair and the Cien products have proved to leave my hair shiny and silky smooth. The results were instant and bloody amazing, it’s crazy to think how cheap they are! A definite must buy.

If you’re looking for beauty on a budget then pop into your nearest Lidl store and pick them up and see for yourself!

I’m Back!

After over a month of not bothering to blog, tonight is the night that I make an appearance! It was quite nice to have the break, get on with things and not having to worry about typing up a post every other night.

So what have I been doing for the past month I hear you ask…? No… Oh.

I’ve been on a mini break to the Cairngorms for Jaimie’s 29th were we spent everyday visiting distilleries, although we did manage to fit in a reindeer feeding sesh, which was amazing! Spent plenty of time in the sun whether it be at a beach or just sunbathing in the back garden, BBQ’s with my best chums, going out for dinner with the family and extended family, bike rides, shopping, dying my hair many colours, antique shopping, drinking pinas coldadas, driving a car, faking it, bird watching, booking holiday’s, Castle visits, boat trips, visiting museums & Jubilee fun.

I think that’s it…!

I will now bore you with some pictures of my last month.

I’m hoping that I will keep this more regular, not daily but definitely not monthly.

Pictures Of The Weekend.

Happy Easter ya’ll! (for yesterday that is!).

I didn’t do much, just spent the long weekend dying my hair, doing my nails, cleaning the house, making jelly, watching films, seeing my pals, being lazy, walks on the beach, Easter egg hunting and spending time with Jaimie. Twas quiet but GRAND.
